The Golden Retriever Club NSW Golden Day
18th April 2010
Castle Hill Showground was abound with beauty on 18th April as so many families from near and far came together all eager for the opportunity to perhaps catch up with litter mates or just happy to be there and join in the fun.
What a wonderful day we had, the weather was glorious and the dogs clearly on their best behaviour and doing every owner proud enjoyed the opportunity to be pampered with a “peticure” enter the competitions or play a game or two. For our families it was a chance to catch up with breeders, to get any help and advise where needed, win a few prizes and share a story or two over a sausage sizzle and ice cream.
It was a such a delight to be able to share the day with our club patron Dr Katrina Warren and her daughter and the Golden Retriever Rescue Inc who set up a wonderful display of sale items to help them raise much needed funds for their invaluable service to the breed.
The day would not have been the success it was without the fantastic support and donations from Purina Proplan, Plush Puppy, VitaPet dog treats and a fabulous surprise from Streets who kept the children very happy thoughout the day with their fabulous donation of many of the finest ice creams available.
Also, to the committee and those members who gave up their day to make sure the families were all made to feel so very welcome, I could not have done it without you so thanks again for all your help.
